A Magical Tailor-Made Sailing Experience

A Truly Tailor-Made Day on the Water

Every once in a while, we get to design an experience that reminds me exactly why I started Nautivent. Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting a group of four guests for a full-day tailor-made adventure that took us from Cascais to the heart of Lisbon in a way that was completely out of the ordinary.

The day started early in Lisbon, where I personally picked them up at their hotel. Since they were checking out that morning, we also made sure to take care of their luggage so they could enjoy the entire day without a worry. With bags safely stored, we drove to Cascais Marina where our boat was waiting, and from there the adventure began.

The morning was dedicated to exploring the beauty and history of the Cascais coastline. We cruised past the Santa Marta lighthouse, the dramatic Boca do Inferno cliffs, and the elegant Casa da Guia. There was even time for a refreshing dive near Praia da Conceição before we anchored in the bay for a relaxed onboard lunch. Gazpacho soup, salmon wraps, Caesar salad, fresh fruit, and a chilled bottle of white wine made for the perfect midday pause surrounded by the Atlantic.

But the highlight of this experience was the afternoon. Knowing that my guests needed to catch a train from Oriente Station later that day, I came up with something special. Instead of returning to Cascais, we set course eastward, making our way along the Tagus River all the way into Lisbon. It was magical — sailing past Belém Tower, the Monument of the Discoveries, under the mighty 25 de Abril Bridge, and right by Praça do Comércio, with the city’s culture and history unfolding from the water.

Our final destination was Parque das Nações Marina, just minutes from the train station. As we docked, my colleague was already waiting with their luggage, ready to drive them the short distance to catch their train. It felt like the perfect ending to a journey that was as seamless as it was unforgettable.
