A Magical Tailor-Made Sailing Experience

How we built a private full-day charter for six friends out of Marina de Cascais.

Earlier this season, a group of six friends reached out with a deceptively simple brief: spend the entire day on the water, eat well, swim a lot, and finish in time for the sunset. We took it from there. The result was a tailor-made charter — the experience we use when none of the standard programmes fit.

The route

We left Marina de Cascais at 11am and headed west along the cliffs to the Boca do Inferno, where we anchored for the first swim of the day. From there we tracked the coast around to a quiet cove that locals know but tourists rarely find. Clear water, no other boats, perfect for a long lunch.

Lunch onboard

Our crew prepared a chilled menu of fresh seafood, salads, and Portuguese cheeses, paired with a crisp Vinho Verde from a small producer near Monção. Coffee and pastel de nata followed, because we believe in tradition.

The afternoon

After lunch we cruised back east past Cascais towards Estoril, found another quiet anchorage, and let the group spend the next two hours doing nothing in particular: swimming, sleeping on the bow, taking photographs. The best afternoons on the water are the unstructured ones.

Sunset at the harbour mouth

Before returning to the marina we paused just outside the harbour to catch the sunset over the Atlantic. Glasses came out, music played softly, nobody said very much. That is what we are here for.

Plan your own day

Every Nautivent charter is private — your group, your dates, your route. If a tailor-made experience sounds right for you, tell us what you have in mind and you will hear back from Miguel directly within a few hours. We design the day around your brief.

If you would rather start from one of our standard programmes — Cascais, Cascais to Lisbon, Cascais to Troia or a Sunset Drink — pick whichever fits and we will go from there.
